Richmond Hill Montessori & Elementary Private Schools' (RHMS) mission is to be a caring community of educators dedicated to enabling each student to develop their intellectual, creative, and physical potential while fostering a passion for life and its wonderful challenges.RHMS is looking for OCT Certified Supply Teachers to teach Elementary (grade one to eight) classesQualifications: Primary/junior and/or intermediate/senior qualifications Ontario Teaching Certification (OCT) in good standing 2-3 Years of Full-time Classroom Teaching Experience Excellent Oral, Written, Communication and Presentation Skills Computer Literacy: Proficient and Knowledgeable with Word Processors, Spreadsheets, Email, Internet, Smart Boards Flexibility to work hours during 8:30 am and 6:00 pm Background in Art, French, Intermediate Math, Computers, Music and/or Science an asset Experience in a private school is preferredResponsibilities: Supply for Elementary classes 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (grades one eight) as required Supervise students in Study Hall, from 4:00 p.m- 6:00 p.m., as needed Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate: Creative, imaginative and incorporates a positive approach in teaching Excellent classroom management skills Great organization and planning skills Thrives in a positive team environment Experience with building rapport and communicating effectively with parents Easily adapts to new things Confidence in providing solutions when issues arise Works with high standard of integrityPlease note: Supply staff will be considered first for full-time teaching positions as they come available
