PSB15-026 Special Education Teacher - position is to teach one of the following classes Math secondary math qualifications, strong literacy skills and experience and intermediate/senior division qualifications required, or; Physical Education physical education qualifications; strong interest in literacy and intermediate/senior division qualifications requiredSwimming qualifications would be an asset (i.eRed Cross or similar swimming program) NOTE: Candidates with either secondary math qualifications or physical education qualifications are invited to apply Candidates do not need to possess both math and physical education qualifications Teaching assignment will be based on the successful candidate's teaching qualifications.2. PSB15-027 Special Education Teacher o position to Grade 7/8 class strong interest in literacy and junior/intermediate/senior qualifications required. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Certificate of Registration and Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers; Special Education qualifications (minimum Part 1); junior/intermediate/senior division qualifications as required; demonstrated excellence in literacy and language development; demonstrated numeracy and secondary math skills; successful experience working with students with learning disabilities; excellent working knowledge of student language acquisition/ development, program modifications/accommodations, learning strategies, progress monitoring/evaluation; demonstrated experience with inclusive/assistive technology; interest and/or experience working with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and other emotional and behavioural problem students; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team; ability to work in partnership with the residence staff.
