Learning Tree Tutors -- Tutoring Services invites applications for the following positions: English High School English Teacher/Tutor At Learning Tree Tutors we consider that effective tutors must have both excellent teaching and people skillsWe are looking for 1-on-1 English tutors who are passionate about teaching and who can make learning interesting and fun for their studentsEnglish tutors are needed for help with English/Language arts, Essay Writing, Literature studies Tutors usually travel to student homes for tutoringHours vary depending on how many students you wish to accept and what assignments are currently available at your locationSessions are usually 1.5 or 2 hours.Join us under the Learning Tree! We invite qualified tutors to join our expanding team. Qualifications: Certified teachers, teacher college candidates, and postgraduates Post-secondary education in English literature or related subjects Experience in teaching or tutoring Familiarity with current Ontario curriculum guidelines Reliable transport /personal vehicle preferred Personal Skills: - Open to new ideas and learning strategies - Good communication and interpersonal/rapport building skills - Patient, caring, dependable & flexible Job type: - Part-time, contract - Must be willing to set aside a minimum of 2 late afternoons/evenings a week for tutoring and work a minimum of 4 hours a week - Hours are late afternoon, evening & weekends- A criminal background check may be is required - Able to tutor throughout the school year- Compensation is $25 based on qualifications and experience.
