Clinton International College is a Private High School accredited and inspected by the Ministry of Education that offers a University Preparatory Program and ESL programClinton is located in the heart of the vibrant City of Toronto North York Centre area beside the Sheppard subwayClinton provides exceptional education for students from all over the world and helps them achieve their dreamsOur mission is to passionately focus on delivering the best quality education and memorable Canadian experience by hiring the most caring teachers and staff possibleGeneral Job Description:You're reliable, think on your feet, detail oriented, and you have excellent verbal and written communication skillsIn this role you will use your talents to make an excellent first impression on prospective students and school visitorsYou'll answer and direct phone calls with professionalism, take messages as needed, input leads and new student information, maintain records, and both audit and prepare transcript requests for mailingYou will use your experience and skill sets to evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, and to ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of our students, company, and regulatory agencies in compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirementsYou'll assist in keeping the school in perfect working order and make a difference in the lives of manyYou'll work with a dedicated team of professionals, in a small, familiar, and friendly environmentQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Social Work or related field Fluent English skills speaking, reading and writing Fluent Mandarin skills speaking, reading and writing Excellent communication skills, ability to speak to parents and students tactfully Excellent customer service skills 2-5 years in similar role (preferably in high school environment) Proficient Microsoft Office skills Quick learner and adapts to change well Must be able to work effectively independently and as team-player with diverse group of staff and students Job Responsibilities:Guidance Guide students with course selection and scheduling, school issues, out of class concerns, university/college guidance Meet with parents to discuss students' progress, make recommendation on further studiesReception Screen telephone calls and redirect questions as appropriate; assess the importance and priority of calls and take appropriate action Welcome all persons entering the campus by providing front line customer service support, responding to questions on school programs, and handling registration questions Act as a champion of the schools programs towards prospective students/parents Receive and distribute mail and coordinate courier deliveries; maintains log of mail activities and generate status reports as requiredAdministration Enter and delegate leads; record leads in weekly inquiry log and transfer to appropriate person Provide administrative support to the Principal and Guidance Director by generating standard letters, coordinating projects, and producing reports and other documents as requested File student academic records in appropriate personnel files Administer student entrance exams Print reports, including attendance sheet and monthly student progress Input student grades and attendance and print midterm and final term reports as necessary Assist in the coordination of special events, such as meetings, information sessions, and graduation ceremonies; includes preparing transcripts May "take in" payments and receipts and submit bank deposit Order supply of promotional material, registration forms and brochures, study material, and other campus documents; order and maintain office supplies for the campus Remain current on system applications, Ministry of Education requirements, school policies and procedures, quality service standards, upcoming courses, and ongoing school activities Other ad hoc duties and special projects as required.Compensation: To be determined based on experiencePlease send resume and cover letter with "School Guidance Counselor/Administrator" in subject heading to careers@clintoncollege.ca, indicate salary expectationsCandidates who can travel to Yonge/Sheppard and meet the above qualifications should apply in confidenceThis would be an excellent opportunity for an International Student Graduate with the intention of applying for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) immigrationMust be able to commit to a work term of at least 1.5 years.Thanks to all candidates for your interestOnly qualified applicants will be contacted, please no phone calls.
