Administrative Assistant at Blyth Education, ON

Administrative AssistantPreferably a Certified Teacher.Blyth Academy Lawrence Park, a fast-growing Private school in North Toronto.We have part and possibly full-time hours available for an educator and strong communicatorFirst-rate organizational skills and team-playing ability are required...Role includes many of the following responsibilities:Communication Academic Admin Day to day upkeep and response to email and phone calls/messages/walk ins Managing enquiries/up selling/promoting programs/gathering of transcripts, etc from students Problem solve parents Update HoS, HoG Administration Academic Admin Rediker: adding student's academic info, update transcripts, run report cards, check teachers markbooks for PART TIME/PRIVATE program Input PT registration data, follow up with student forms Collect all relevant documentation Organize or assist in the organization of fields trips permissions slips, payment, transportation… Organize transcripts and report cards at the end of each term(Part time/Private) Assist with part time course scheduling/moving students to different campus/private up sellStaff Academic Admin Contribute to weekly team meeting Support/delegate duties to Academic Assistant (4th role where it exists) Take minutes at faculty meetingsAccounting Academic Admin Student fees, follow-up with payment plans, outstanding fees, invalid CC's (PART TIME/PRIVATES) maintaining, preparing and approving payroll Manage Credit card expenses Manage petty cash Bank depositsTeaching Academic Admin Occasional guest teaching as needed Possible Private/PT/FT teaching as time permitsStudent Success Academic Admin "know" the students and assist where possible with counselling Enforce appropriate dress Manage IEPs, prerequisites and files for part time and private students *share with teachers Lead/steer Student Council Connect part time and private teachers with students F/U with private students and teachers to make sure that things are going well Attendance-Change date and Post attendance for all of Blyth-Make sure that teachers are taking attendance-Call parents and log information-Issue late slips-Talk to students who are consistently absent or late, make sure that teachers are contacting parents and appropriate action is taking place-Advise HOS when necessaryPhysical Plant Academic Admin Determine needs, tidiness, organization of space and materials whole school support Maintain all keys for campus internal and external Securing necessary space and furniture and equipment for all business Textbooks -Coordinate ordering textbooks for teachers-Log in/Track -Keep the book cupboard organized-Liaise with Squibbs about books that needed, changes, student books etc…-Distribute deliveries/returns Office Supplies -Order and manage office supplies-Approve invoices Computer Equipment -Keep equipment log-Organize and maintain orderliness, technical care, supplies…-Make sure that everything is functional Coordinate Cleaning staff and maintenance staffE-mail cover letter and resume to Luke Coles, Principal, lukecoles@blytheducation.com
