Learning Tree Tutors -- Tutoring Services invites applications for the following positions: Tutors for Senior/High School Mathematics At Learning Tree Tutors we consider that effective tutors must have both excellent teaching and people skillsWe are looking for 1-on-1 tutors who are passionate about teaching and who can make learning interesting and fun for their studentsTutors are needed for help with: Grade 10,11,12 Mathematics Calculus, Functions, Data Management Tutors usually travel to student homes for tutoringHours vary depending on how many students you wish to accept and what assignments are currently available at your location Sessions are usually 1.5 or 2 hours.Join us under the Learning Tree! We invite qualified tutors to join our expanding team. Qualifications : Certified teachers, teacher college candidates, graduates, and postgraduates Post-secondary education in mathematics Experience in teaching or tutoring Familiar with current Ontario curriculum guidelines Reliable transport /personal vehicle preferredPersonal Skills: - Open to new ideas and learning strategies - Good communication and interpersonal/rapport building skills - Patient, caring, dependable & flexible Job type: - Part-time, contract - Must be willing to set aside a minimum of 2 late afternoons or evenings a week for tutoring and work a minimum of 4 hours a week - Hours are late afternoon, evening & weekends- A criminal background check may be required - Able to tutor throughout the school year- Compensation is minimum $25 to $28 + based on qualifications and experience.
