Learning Tree Tutors -- Tutoring Services invites applications for the following positions: Tutors for French and French Immersion At Learning Tree Tutors we consider that effective tutors must have both excellent teaching and people skillsWe are looking for 1-on-1 tutors who are passionate about teaching and who can make learning interesting and fun for their studentsWe value good communication skills since teachers must be able to explain complicated concepts in a way that students can understandTutors are needed for help with: Primary & Junior Grades Core and French Immersion High School French-Core, French Immersion and IB FrenchTutors usually travel to student homes for tutoringHours vary depending on how many students you wish to accept and what assignments are currently available at your locationJoin us under the Learning Tree! We invite qualified tutors to join our expanding team. Qualifications : Certified teachers, teacher college candidates, graduates, and postgraduates Post-secondary education in French language & literature and/or native, near-native speaker of French with excellent knowledge of French language, grammar and teaching FSL Experience in teaching or tutoring Familiar with current Ontario curriculum guidelines Reliable transport /personal vehicle preferredPersonal Skills: - Open to new ideas and learning strategies - Good communication and interpersonal/rapport building skills - Patient, caring, dependable & flexible Job type: - Part-time, contract - Must be willing to set aside a minimum of 2 late afternoon/evening a week for tutoring or a minimum of 4 hours a week - Hours are late afternoon, evening & weekends- A criminal background check may be required - Able to commit to tutor until the end of the school year- Compensation is minimum $25 to $30 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
