Employment OpportunityDirector of EducationThe Naotkamegwanning Education Committee is seeking a dynamic educator to provide leadership in the role of Director of Education for our thriving community Our community desires a candidate with a working knowledge of First Nations Educational systems and experience in the following areas: administration, financial management, supervision of staff, and policy development.The Director will work collaboratively with and report to the Naotkamegwanning Education Committee to develop program objectives, provide support for all staff, monitor finance and provide transparency through the chains of command.The Director will also work with the Leadership Team of Baibombeh Anishinabe School to promote a safe, culturally rich, and nurturing environment for staff and students.The Director must have the ability to use practical judgement and make decisions based on the established board policy and by-laws.A Master's Degree in Education is preferred, but not required Related qualifications, skills and experience will be considered Ojibway language and cultural knowledge will be an asset The Director will either hold a current Ontario Teacher's Certificate or be willing to obtain one.Come join us as we make a positive impact on the children of our community.CLOSING DATE: Friday December 5, 2014 @ 4:30 p.m.Late applicants will not be consideredPlease submit resume, and three letters of work related references to:Naotkamegwanning Education Authority1004 Baibombeh RoadPawitik, OntarioP0X 1L0Email: wbnaea@kmts.ca Fax: (807) 226-1066All interviewees must submit a current Criminal Security Check at time of interview.
