Bring your housing market expertise and communication skills to this position based in Toronto or OttawaAs a member of the Ontario Market Analysis Team you will provide substantive and highly skilled analyses and forecasts of economic and housing market trends for Ottawa, Northern and Eastern OntarioWe are seeking a colleague who has knowledge of forecasting and analysis in the housing sector and who is also recognized for his/her excellent analytical and communication skills as well as the ability to develop and maintain solid business relationships and lead and coach other analystsThisfull-time permanent positionis an exceptional opportunity for an analytical thinker with strong presentation skills and a focus on results to join Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), an organization where you are valued and respected, recognized for your contribution and that is committed to providing a work environment where you are inspired to make a difference YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES as a Principal, Market Analysis includes: Using econometric models, leading indicators and market intelligence to provide forecasts and substantive analyses of complex housing markets Identifying important demographic and housing trends and conducting critical project review in high risk segments In close collaboration with other team members manage a pool of senior market analysts, market analysts, and/or market research assistant(s),who provide analytical modeling and forecasting products and services related to housing markets and economic conditions, for internal and external clients Representing the Market Analysis Centre with municipalities, associations and clients and delivering a wide range of presentations on housing related topics Acting as a spokesperson on complex and important housing issues with the media, housing sector representatives, consultants, researchers, public officials, decision makers and the general public Managing important and highly sophisticated clients who require the skills and advice of a seasoned analyst with broad market knowledgeYOUR PROFILE as a Principal, Market Analysis includes: Education & Experience Masters degree in Economics, Finance, Urban Planning, Geography or Business Administration combined with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience, as well as at least 1 year supervisory/management experienceEssential Knowledge and Skills Strong knowledge of the housing, economic and financial sectors Ability to explain current market conditions and to forecast using statistical and econometric techniques Extensive analytical and intuitive skills;
