We invite qualified tutors to join our expanding team. Qualifications : Certified teachers, teacher college candidates, graduates, and postgraduates Relevant post-secondary education in sciences Ability to also teach mathematics Grades 10 to 12 in addition to physics is highly desirable Experience in teaching or tutoring Familiar with current Ontario curriculum guidelines Reliable transport /personal vehicle preferredPersonal Skills: - Open to new ideas and learning strategies - Good communication and interpersonal/rapport building skills - Patient, caring, reliable & flexible Job type: - Part-time, contract - Must be willing to set aside a minimum of 2 times a week /or a minimum of 4 hours a week - Hours are late afternoon, evening & weekends- A criminal background check may be required - Willing to tutor throughout the school year Benefits:-Compensation is up to $28 per hour to start based on qualifications -Tutoring sessions are minimum of 1.5 hours.-Cancellation policy in place
