Full time LTO Grade 8 Math and Science TeacherThe position is effective end of January/beginning of February, 2015.Associated Hebrew Schools of Toronto is a vibrant centre of academic excellence and Jewish inspirationSuccessful candidates will collaborate with teachers and administrators, as well as grade partners and teams The candidates must be knowledgeable in the subject matter and understand and apply a variety of approaches to instruction, including balanced instruction, assessments for, of and as learning and be able to implement a wide variety of instructional strategies Responsibilities Include: Planning, instruction, assessment and evaluation Supporting program implementation using the Ontario Ministry curriculum and other resources Choosing appropriate and current resources that support the content in the program Facility with instructional technology including use of SMARTboard, Google Apps for Education and other Internet based educational programsCandidates Must Have: Bachelors of Education A Qualification in Intermediate Math or Science Junior/Intermediate classroom experience and OCT in good standing are essential Special Education Part 1 is an asset
