This person assists in coordinating the Training departmentThe Training Associate is responsible for the development, research and implementation of training programs and curriculum for Spirit of Math programs and any programs offered by SMS to outside clientsThis includes all education and business training, professional development, and assistance with research and workshops.This person should have be able to balance multiple, interdependent prioritiesThey should have the cognitive capacity to deal with projects that would last 5 yearsThis person should be very confident, a life-long learner, perceptive and flexibleThe time of the longest task is 5 years.This position requires someone who has experience teaching for at least 2 years, has a strong math background and is computer literateThey need to be well-acquainted with of the Spirit of Math systems and values and also with trends of thoughts in the larger education community in general and gifted research in particularThey must also be a strong leader and communicatorTraining experience is an asset. Specific types of work that need to be valued:a) Conceptual Thinking & Theory Development b) Counseling & Mentoringc) Creative Productiond) Influence Through Language & Idease) Managing People & Relationshipsf) Quantitative and Qualitative AnalysisThe minimum level of education that is required is a B.A(or equivalent) and a B.Ed(or equivalent).This position reports to the C.E.O& Head of the Trainiculum Department.Training:a) Performing campus evaluations at campus locations (ability to travel required)b) Helping to develop the system of evaluationsc) Liaising with the support departmente) Developing new training DVDs and other training materialsf) Running teacher trainingg) Running business trainingh) Providing On-going professional development (including the SMS Conference and Grade Specific support)i) Camera and computer workj) Developing and conducting training sessions for clients outside of Spirit of Mathk) Creation of courses for teachers, principals, parents, and studentsl) Collaboration with other departments (including marketing, campus support, and curriculum)m) One-on-one training for franchiseesWorkshops:Organizing and helping to develop and run workshops in day schools
