Recruiter - University Relations Intern/Coop/Student Term: City/Town: Markham State/ Province/ Region: Ontario Country: Canada Job Description: The University Relations Recruiter is a key member of the Human Resources departmentHe/she will oversee the Program for North America (Canada and US) and act as site lead for our Markham, Ontario campusRole & Responsibilities: Design and implement innovative recruiting strategies to attract and hire top talent to meet hiring goals in North America, including Career Fairs, Information Sessions, Speaker events, Networking Sessions, Student Lunch-n-Learns, Social and career-related eventsOversee campus teams for Universities, educating and preparing on campus team strategy, tactics and securing appropriate involvement of AMD leaders within the business(s) to execute the strategy to achieve recruitment outcomesBuild and maintain strategic relationships with key University contacts including professors, administrative staff, student services and students, including attendance at meetings and on-campus events where requiredManage full life cycle recruiting for Markham University Relations (200+ Co-op, PEY and New Grad requisitions), including sourcing, screening interview process management, preparing and extending offers and on-boardingManage performance process for Markham student population, successfully tracking workplace performance, documenting performance reviews into personnel files and highlighting key talent for the business in order to retain and convert to full time hiresOversee process roll-up for North AmericaOrganize, oversee and deliver New Hire Orientation and Student Development Sessions for Markham student population; partner with colleagues in key North American locations to facilitate delivery of sameMaintain and successfully track accurate headcount and conversion ratesProvide periodic reports to senior leadership teamPartner with Employee Relations and HR Business Partners to provide guidance and advice to students and Managers on various employee relations issues such as accommodation, performance management, discipline, attendance management and conflict managementRequirements: Secondary degree/diploma in HR, Psychology, Business, or relevant experience; undergraduate degree an assetAt least 3 - 5 years' experience recruiting university students or working in a university career placement centerStrong communication and interpersonal skills and able to interact at all levels within the organizationAble to work effectively with minimal directionCreative and resourceful individual able to seek out unique opportunities to obtain top talentLI-MG1
