Summary Spirit of Math Schools is an exciting Canadian phenomena in education, offering above-average students an opportunity to enjoy the "sport" of math with others like them in an after-school settingWe currently have a full time opportunity for a forward thinking and independent person for a position as a Principal for our GTA corporate campusesThis role presents an exciting opportunity to positively impact the lives of bright students and their parentsYou will be part of a team of highly professional teachers who are passionate about working with high performing students in mathYou will have a unique opportunity to apply your exceptional relationship, management and organizational skills to foster a thriving educational environmentThe ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and is a highly trustworthy individual who is able to motivate and influence others including teachers, students and parentsYou inspire people's trust as you are highly organized, dependable and efficientYou are eager to learn our unique curriculum and methods of teaching and inspire both your teachers and the students in their careYou have prior experience working in the field of educationIdeally, you have in-class experience as a teacherEducation A degree from a recognized college or university is necessaryA Bachelor of Education is an asset, but mandatoryResponsibilities The Principal ensures that the campus is effectively managed and that the students, parents and teachers receive the support and direction needed to maintain a dynamic learning environmentThe Campus Director will be responsible for the following: a) Running the day to day operations of the campusb) Screening potential students for admission c) Building and maintaining relationships with parents d) Ensuring teaching standards are maintained e) Supporting teachers when dealing with student/parent concerns f) Filling in for teachers when they are absent g) Performing teacher performance evaluations h) Ensuring that teachers are maintaining marks books and accurate attendance i) Reviewing all report cards and making comments and changes as necessary j) Hiring teachers and assistant teachers k) Conducting professional development meetings with all teachers at least two times a year l) Supervising assistant teacher trainingm) Implementing any current marketing strategies within your campus
