Learning Tree Tutors -- Tutoring Services invites applications for the following positions: Tutors for Chemistry At Learning Tree Tutors we consider that effective tutors must have both excellent teaching and people skillsWe are looking for 1-on-1 tutors who are passionate about teaching and who can make learning interesting and fun for their studentsTutors in sciences are needed for help with: Grade 10 Science Grades 11 & 12: Biology, Chemistry, PhysicsTutors at Learning Tree Tutors develop flexible, customized programs for each student based on his or her unique needs and goals Hours vary depending on how many students you wish to accept and what assignments are currently available at your locationJoin us under the Learning Tree! We invite qualified tutors to join our expanding team. Qualifications : Certified teachers, teacher college candidates, graduates, and postgraduates Relevant post-secondary education in sciences Ability to teach more than one science subject is highly desirable Experience in teaching or tutoring Familiar with current Ontario curriculum guidelines Reliable transport /personal vehicle preferredPersonal Skills: - Open to new ideas and learning strategies - Good communication and interpersonal/rapport building skills - Patient, caring, reliable & flexible Job type: - Part-time, contract - Must be willing to set aside a minimum of 2 times a week /or a minimum of 4 hours a week - Hours are late afternoon, evening & weekends- A criminal background check may be required - Willing to tutor throughout the school year Benefits:-Compensation is up to $28 per hour based on qualifications -Tutoring sessions are minimum of 1.5 hours.-Cancellation policy in place
