We invite qualified tutors to join our expanding team. Qualifications : Certified teachers, teacher college candidates, graduates, and postgraduates Post-secondary education in sciences, including biology or chemistry Ability to teach more than one science subject is highly desirable Ability to teach high school math is desirable Experience in teaching or tutoring Familiar with current Ontario curriculum guidelines Reliable transport /personal vehicle preferredPersonal Skills: - Open to new ideas and learning strategies - Good communication and interpersonal/rapport building skills - Patient, caring, dependable & flexible Job type: - Part-time, contract - Must be willing to set aside a minimum of 2 evenings a week for tutoring and work 4 - 10 hours a week - Hours are late afternoon, evening & weekends- A criminal background check is required - Able to tutor throughout the school year- Compensation is minimum $25 + based on qualifications and experienceTutoring sessions are a minimum of 1.5 hours.
